Time to Say Goodbye...

Although the Pops has explored a number of alternative sites, we have been unable to secure another venue suitable for our traditional Mashpee Pops production. Thus, although we wish it could be otherwise, tonight the curtain comes down on this event as we know it.

It has been a great 20 year run and a labor of love for many members of the Pops Committee, past and present. The dream of the Pops organizers has been realized, over and over again. Hundreds of thousands of dollars to support the arts and education in Mashpee have been raised and distributed by the Pops. For these accomplishments and for the joy the Pops has brought to thousands of our neighbors and visitors, we are very proud.

The Donna Lynn Yanoff Memorial Scholarship is fully endowed and will continue to be awarded for generations to come, and we will continue to under- write and present the Annual Missoula Children’s Theatre production during the winter. The Pops Committee will stay active, sponsoring and producing a variety of events celebrating and showcasing the arts in Mashpee and promot ing a strong sense of community spirit. What this will include, has yet to be determined...stay tuned!
